The Missouri WIC Association was founded in 1988 with six association districts. Our organization is often abbreviated as MOWICA, MO WIC Association, Missouri WIC Association, MWA, and similar variations. Our official abbreviation is MWA as shown in our logo. Please note that MO WIC is a separate group supported by ours.

Membership
Membership in the Missouri WIC Association is open to all local WIC agencies and personnel interested in the welfare of the WIC program in the state of Missouri.
One or more WIC personnel per agency shall server as a contact person for MWA. At this time, there are no dues required to become a member of Missouri WIC Association.
Committees address concerns regarding communication between state and local agencies, availability of financial resources, and quality of state nutrition and operational guidelines, working to develop appropriate recommendations for changes as identified.
